We NEED this library downtown!
Would it be less costly to level it and rebuild?
I visit the branch libraries often rather than the main library only because of parking issues. Otherwise, with the selection of books and services OUR MAIN LIBRARY provides I'd be there instead! So add me and many others like me to the 5000+ visitor count.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the branch libraries and the friendly wonderful staff...and on behalf of the branch libraries... they cannot take anymore of a load than what currently exists. Before the issue of closing the main library came along the branches had to extend their hours to support their own load. Is extending days and hours again really the answer?
Please do whatever is required to keep OUR Long Beach Main Library in FULL operation.
